Agave Baroque

  • St. Augustine's in-the-woods 5217 South Honeymoon Bay Road Freeland, WA, 98249 United States (map)

Join the Bay Area’s GRAMMY-nominated sensation AGAVE and soprano Michele Kennedy as they explore images of motherhood and the Feminine Divine through the ages and across continents, as told through the voices of female composers. Delve into the intersections of spirituality and incarnation, grief and hope, and, ultimately, transformation. From 17th century Italian convents to Viennese salons to the Underground Railroad and the legacy of slavery in the American South, this program presents a powerful and vivid journey into the heights and depths of the human experience.

Enjoy this Saturday matinee performance with complementary wine and refreshments in the welcoming and informal parish hall at St. Augustine’s Episcopal Church in Freeland on beautiful Whidbey Island.
